Overview
Blue 31 connects the LCGS school football program for boys and girls, junior community development pathways, the International Player Program, and community outreach into a single integrated football ecosystem.
Through these programs, we support young people at every stage of their journey — from school and junior football to senior competition, work and life beyond the game.
Our focus is simple: using football to develop capable athletes, confident students and positive contributors to the community.

1. LCGS School Football & Pathways
Our program is designed to strengthen the LCGS football program by investing in high-quality coaching resources and targeted skill development sessions for both boys and girls.
We connect students with mentoring from senior players and international athletes, providing real-world insight, aspiration and guidance.
Leadership and values-based programs sit at the core of this work, supporting personal growth alongside performance.
Clear transition pathways to OLFC or other Senior participation, ensures talented students can progress into senior-level football within a connected, supportive environment

2. Junior Football Development
Sustainable success for both the LCGS and OLFC will be underpinned by a vibrant junior football program based in and around Inveresk, forming part of a fully integrated school - junior–senior club structure rather than a standalone entity.
The program will create a complete participation pathway from Auskick through to under-age football, including opportunities in coaching, umpiring and community-based programs.
Commencing with Under 8s in 2026, the junior program will expand progressively each year, building toward full participation through to Under 16s by 2031.
Blue 31 will support strong engagement with inner suburban primary schools, complemented by regular Saturday morning clinics led by international players and a clear focus on inclusive, multicultural participation.
Designed as a true pathway, the junior program will connect seamlessly into NTJFA competition and transition naturally into senior football at OLFC, ensuring young players are supported from their first kick through to long-term involvement in the club and the game.

3. International Player Program (IPP)
Our globally connected International Player Program attracts athletes from across the globe - Ireland, Great Britain, the USA, Canada, PNG, Fiji, Nauru, Japan, New Zealand, Europe and beyond - wanting to grow and develop their Australian Rules skills at a Community level Football.
The program reflects growing international interest in the LCGS–OLFC pathway and positions Northern Tasmania as a destination for talented, values-driven footballers seeking both development and opportunity.
International athletes actively contribute to school and junior programs, strengthening participation, diversity and cultural connection within the local community.
The program is supported by a dedicated International Player Program Manager who oversees football development, welfare and off-field support.
Athletes receive pre-departure guidance and arrival assistance, accommodation support, and help integrating into the community, alongside access to local study and employment pathways.
Coaching and umpiring accreditation opportunities, combined with a full 360-degree engagement program focused on leadership, education and community involvement, ensure international players add lasting value on and off the field.

4. Community Outreach Programs
Blue 31’s Community Liaison Team uses football as a powerful vehicle to deliver outreach programs that support inclusion, participation and wellbeing across Northern Tasmania.
Our initiatives are designed to engage under-represented and vulnerable groups — including multicultural and Indigenous communities — by meeting people where they are and creating safe, welcoming entry points into sport and community life.
Programs delivered include multicultural football clinics, school-based programs across Launceston, coaching and umpiring accreditation pathways, off-season health, fitness and wellbeing sessions, and regional outreach clinics in areas where participation is traditionally low.
Each program is tailored to local need, delivered with care, and focused on building confidence, connection and long-term engagement.
