Our Story
Blue 31 was established to strengthen the football ecosystem of the Launceston Grammar School and Old Launcestonians Football Club by building a connected, supportive pathway from junior grassroots football through to senior success.
Drawing on the proud traditions of the Launceston Church Grammar School and the Old Launcestonians Football Club, Blue 31 brings together players, families, alumni, community organisations, and sponsors under one unified vision: a thriving community football pathway leading into OLFC’s centenary year 2031. and
Vision for the future
To establish a sustainable, inclusive, and high-performing football pathway that enriches young people, strengthens both LCGS and OLFC football programs, and contributes positively to the Launceston community.
Mission
We exist to build success on and off the field by
- Supporting school and community football from Auskick to Seniors
- Provide welfare, educational, vocational and wellbeing support for players
- Build interstate and international player pathways to OLFC
- Delivering community outreach programs promoting health and participation
- Fostering stronger relations between the LCGS, OLFC, and broader Launceston community
OLFC Senior Football
Helping OLFC to become competitive and sustainable through development programs, recruitment pathways, welfare support and long-term planning.
Blue 31 is working alongside the Club to build toward its 2031 centenary year — reconnecting past players, friends and supporters, activating a united Blue Army, and strengthening the foundations that sustain success on and off the field.
Together, we are ensuring OLFC’s proud history is honoured while its future is strategically planned, funded and protected for the next generation.

LCGS Football & School Pathways
We are building a football program that gives boys and girls the best possible development and growth opportunities.
Supporting school football development through aligned coaching resources, mentoring and leadership programs that connect school football with senior pathways.
Junior Football Development. Establishing a junior program anchored in Inveresk, strengthening entry-level participation for our boys and girls with clear transition into NTJFA and Senior Football.
Our focus is on developing skilled, resilient young people with character and integrity — better young men and women, not just better footballers — within a clear, values-driven pathway through School and Junior programs.
Community Outreach
Blue 31 uses football as a powerful platform for giving back to the community.
Through inclusive outreach programs, we extend the reach of the game beyond competition — creating opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to engage, learn and belong.
We deliver clinics, multicultural engagement initiatives, and clear coaching and umpiring pathways that support participation and personal development across Northern Tasmania.
These programs are designed not only to grow the game, but to build skills, confidence and leadership within the community.
Complemented by health and wellbeing education, Blue 31’s outreach work strengthens communities, enhances the public value of football, and reinforces the role of sport as a positive force for connection, resilience and long-term social impact.

Governance
Blue 31 operates as an incorporated association with strong governance practices.
Our structure is designed to ensure ethical decision-making, regulatory compliance and responsible stewardship of all funds entrusted to the organisation. Governance frameworks are aligned with not-for-profit best practice and are regularly reviewed to support long-term sustainability.
A volunteer Board provides independent oversight of strategy, financial management, community partnerships and program delivery. This ensures clear accountability, transparent reporting and disciplined decision-making, with a focus on outcomes rather than administration. Board members bring a mix of community, commercial and football expertise to guide the organisation with integrity and purpose.
Importantly, donors, partners and supporters can be confident that contributions are directed to their intended pathway — whether junior development, school programs, community outreach or senior football support.
Blue 31 maintains clear separation between governance, operations and delivery, providing assurance that every dollar is applied responsibly to generate meaningful, measurable community impact.
